Introduction

How Hypnosis Helps

Are you good at day-dreaming?  Of course, we all day-dream from time to time.  Even while driving, people often use only half their mind as they listen to the radio, talk with a friend, or think about something else.  When the journey’s over, they don’t remember half of it.

Hypnosis is  a form of focused concentration. Professional hypnotists act as guides, helping us to  reshape our thinking in positive directions.

  • Need to take a trip out of stress--into peace?

  • Want to improve your golf, or running skills?

  • Fear you’ll never  manage to lose weight?

  • Long to be able to stop smoking?

  • Crave relief from a stressful emotional problem?

  • Want to give birth with less pain & easier delivery?

Hypnosis isn’t medicine, and professional hypnotists don’t do work that’s best done by doctors or psychologists.  If any our clients are receiving medical treatment, hypnotists work with them on referral from their physician or psychiatrist.

We can help you to program your feelings and goals, so that you get relief from the stress of illness, courage to face the problems life throws at you, strength to succeed in something that previously eluded you, and help with special challenges.

Members of the National Guild of Hypnotists agree to a code of ethics, and will advise you about hypnotism before you ever begin the treatment.

Hypnotism is not magic, so some personal issues may take several hour-long appointments to resolve.  Usually we find that strongly motivated people can stop smoking with just a session or two.  Weight management normally takes much more time, and it partly depends on how many pounds you need to lose.  We see people singly or in group sessions.

Nine out of ten people can be hypnotized. Strong and dominant people, who are good at giving and taking orders, usually do very well.  So do kids  over the age of eight.  Willingness to be hypnotized  is quite essential.  A professional hypnotist tests you before starting, and will tell you up front if you appear to be a good candidate for hypnotism.
